A traditional Ukrainian silhouette, reimagined for the contemporary wardrobe.
Mara is a double-layered zapaska inspired by the traditional Ukrainian apron — a garment worn over clothing and defined by layering, movement and a distinctive feminine silhouette.
The design combines two contrasting textures: delicate black lace and natural linen. The asymmetric layering allows both fabrics to remain visible, creating depth and movement while keeping the piece light and easy to style.
Long linen ties wrap around the waist, allowing the fit to be adjusted and giving Mara its characteristic layered construction.
Wear it over wide-leg trousers with a minimal top, layer it over a dress or skirt, or pair it with a vyshyvanka for a more expressive Ukrainian look. Mara is designed to become part of a contemporary wardrobe rather than being reserved for traditional styling.
The contrast of black lace and natural linen makes the piece distinctive without limiting how it can be worn — from understated monochrome combinations to more elaborate layered looks.
